Educational Field Trips

The 2017 school tour calendar is full. If you would like to be placed on a waiting list, please send school, grade, and numbers to: 



(Preschool, Kindergarten, & Grades 1 - 2)

Enjoy a hands-on educational visit to a working apple farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina! Ride on the farm wagon through acres of orchard and Farmer Mike's pumpkin patch and grape vines.

  • Pick your own bag of apples and/or pumpkin.
  • Drink a cup of delicious local apple cider.
  • Engage in an interactive farm lesson (age and grade appropriate).
  • Find your way through our corn  maze
  • Take a guided tour of the pumpkin patch.
  • Bring a picnic lunch to eat beside the orchard.
  • Take a self-guided tour of the Nature Trail.

Kids turn into farmers for a day,
dirt and all!



All tours are approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes and include wagon ride tour, apple cider, presentation, corn maze, and guided pumpkin patch walk.  Apple varieties will vary based on ripeness and availability. FREE Admission for one teacher and one assistant for each class.
